Just went in for an oil change and 29 point inspection. I needed to wait for the car. I was told it would be about 3 hours. After 3 hours and 20 minutes I contacted the advisor. I was told they just started the oil change. If I did not have the multi point inspection it would be ready in just a few minutes.
I am unsure why you make an appointment if they need you car for that length of time.

I've been here twice for routine maintenance. The first time I was there for 3 plus hours for an oil change. Each time they find something else wrong. This last time I was told I needed the transmission fluid flushed. The quote was $700 on top of the $900 I was already charged for a tune up. I had it done at Aamco for $261. I find it hard to continue to keep bringing my Toyota to this Toyota dealership.

I chose to wait because an Uber home and return adds another $50 or so to the overall cost of the service. Toyota in Escondido is no closer. the last two times for service I have had to wait 4 hours or more. I have to look for a Toyota service garage closer to home so that I do not have to sit and wait.

It took an hour to get service. Not so happy about that.
I thin the question about recommending the service isnt applicable. I have never had a conversation with anyone about tiring a towing company. It is mostly done through our insurance companies or AAA. Your question is obsolete and doesn't make sense.

I had no experience of buying second hand car. Later when I checked the price online I could find car with better trim having similar milage even a few thousands lower. I appreciate that oil & warranty work were done quickly. I am however frustrated by the fact that my new car came with bad tires which needed replacement at 28k. The same tires at Discount come with an 80k warranty. My car is less than a year old! Tires should not be replaced so soon. Also upselling $140.00 for air filters which retail for less than 50.00 WITH SHIPPING, IS OUTRAGEOUS! It took me less than 20 minutes to do both. :(
