2015 Infiniti Q70 Review
Pros
- Agile handling
- Energetic powertrains
- Hybrid availability
Cons
- Outmoded tech amenities
- Rivals have a smoother ride
Elegant styling and a lengthy list of high-tech features make the 2015 Infiniti Q70 a serious contender in its segment. With available all-wheel drive, the Q70 has the ability to get through inclement weather in style.
The 2015 Infiniti Q70 is a midsize luxury car that seats five, and it’s available in regular and long-wheelbase variants. The trims are Q70 3.7, Q70 3.7L, Q70 5.6 and Q70 5.6L. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but each of those trims is available with all-wheel drive. A hybrid model called the Q70 Hybrid also is offered. Infiniti provides the Q70 with a V6 engine. A V8 is optional. Both pair with an automatic transmission.
The long-wheelbase model is new for 2015. It provides an extra 5.6 inches of legroom for back-seat passengers. New safety features, including forward emergency braking and backup collision, become available. The exterior design also gets a slight refresh, as well as new 18-inch wheel designs.
Exterior
The 2015 Infiniti Q70 blends luxurious and muscular lines for one of the more imposing looks in the segment. High wheel arches, a wide grille and slim headlights also provide athletic touches. The Q70’s long, curvy silhouette is a trademark quality of a luxury sedan, and prominent body lines break up chunky cues. Wide fenders, elongated taillights and large tailpipes complete the look.
Standard features include 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, LED fog lights, power-folding and auto-dimming mirrors, a moonroof and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Twenty-inch wheels, upgraded brakes, performance tires and a unique front bumper are available.
Interior
Sliding into the 2015 Q70 reveals an expansive cabin, especially in the long-wheelbase models, that features high-quality materials and superior build quality. The large, sweeping dashboard has an attractive design, and both the front and rear seats provide good support while being comfortable. In traditional fashion, the Q70 features an analog clock directly embedded into the dashboard.
Dual-zone automatic climate control, leatherette upholstery, 10-way power front seats, heated front seats, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and an auto-dimming rearview mirror are standard. Available equipment includes climate-controlled front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats and leather upholstery.
Performance
The base engine for the 2015 Infiniti Q70 is a 3.7-liter V6 that generates 330 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. A 5.6-liter V8 that produces 420 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque is available. Rear-wheel drive and a seven-speed automatic transmission are standard. All-wheel drive is available.
Fuel economy for the Q70 is an EPA-estimated 18/26 mpg city/highway. The more powerful V8 is rated to get up to 16/24 mpg city/highway.
Technology
Infiniti packed the Q70 with an abundance of standard technology, including keyless entry with push-button start, a six-speaker sound system, active noise control, Bluetooth, satellite radio, a rearview camera, a universal garage door opener, a 7-inch display and a USB port. Available features include a 16-speaker Bose audio system, an 8-inch touch screen, navigation, an around-view monitor, front and rear parking sensors, backup collision intervention, blind spot warning, blind spot intervention, lane departure warning, forward collision warning and adaptive cruise control.

Consumer Reviews
Reliable, reliable, .....
This vehicle has been trouble free for the last 10 years due in part of having the dealer keep up with the maintenance every 6 months.
It's a very nice car that has a stylish and sporty look. It performs very well, great gas mileage and extremely fun to drive... especially riding the scenic routes during those amazing summer nights.
Don’t like the suspension on the vehicle, totally suck!
Great car and not hardly any major trouble
