“REALLY LIKED THIS PLACE FOR SERVICE ON MY POLICE UTILITY BECAUSE THEY HAVE A SPECIALIST TECH FOR THESE FORD VEHICLES, and the prices were good and they did not create more service than needed (a complete vehicle look over, synthetic oil change and fix a window regulator in drivers side window). They did look at the tires and noticed I had low tread on 2 of them. I had the other two changed in July, six months previous. What I did not like is that they were upselling on the tires, which is fine. They do need to be changed. But, I was told about the story of the Ford Explorer being nicknamed the "Exploder" due to the tires. He indicated there can be some kind of catastrophic failure if the tires blow out, and how dangerous it is for me to drive with them. I'm familiar with vehicles to a degree, and I'm old enough to know the origin of the "Ford Exploder" story, which has more to do with a Firestone recall for Ford Explorers in the late 1990's and how Ford improperly handled the recall situation early on, suggesting people underinflate their tires in the (90's version) Ford Explorer, which was top heavy. A lot of people rolled their vehicle when the tire blew out. I ignored the story and took no further suggestions. I had them check the price of the two tires and it more expensive discount tire where I got the other two. The price was fair for the work $650-700: Replace a window regulator which is a little labor intensive and oil and filter change. I don't think the guy was being intentionally deceptive Just out on a limb a little bit. Solid service and do recommend.”

I had noticed a roaring sound from the rear of the vehicle since the purchase of the vehicle and brought it up several times before and was told it was new just needed to break in. Apparently this technician knew what he heard and followed through. Maybe take him out for a free lunch. Our trip home (4 hours) was nice, smooth, and quiet.
